A template built your website. It shows.
Look at your competitors’ websites. Same photo of two people shaking hands. Same “end-to-end solutions”. Same blue button. Swap the logo and you can’t tell the difference.
And when you all look alike, customers choose on price. On price, someone else always wins. But there’s something worse.
The case
A dental clinic with 40 years of history had a template website. A discontinued template, at that. Nobody updated it, because nobody maintained it. Until it got hacked.
What you don’t see
Someone looking for a dentist lands on your website and finds something generic, broken or suspicious. They don’t think “what a shame, a technical glitch”. They think “if they don’t look after this, what do they look after?”
And they leave. Without writing, without warning. You never see it: you just notice the phone rings less.
“A beautiful website isn’t the one everyone likes in the meeting. It’s the one that makes someone get in touch.”
The new website
We built Fons Badal a new, bespoke website with no dead template behind it. It now says what the clinic is: 40 years of experience, warmth and no room for doubt. It’s live at clinicafonsbadal.com.
Cheap
A template always costs less on the day you buy it. It gets very expensive on the day it stops receiving updates, and on the day a customer can’t tell you apart from the competition.
If your website is years old, generic, built by a mate, or you don’t know who maintains it, get in touch. Tell us when it was made and with what, and we’ll tell you whether it can be fixed or should come down before someone else takes it down for you.
