How much does a website cost in 2026? (No form to fill in)

Ask what a website costs and you'll be told “it depends”. Followed by a form.

It does depend. But you can say on what. With numbers.

Ours first: a custom website, from €4,200 (plus VAT). Sounds like a lot? Keep reading. Below is where that figure comes from.

Four ways to get a website

Build it yourself. A website builder, a template, a monthly fee and your evenings. Fine for getting started. The trouble comes the day you want it to look like your brand, not the template. Or the day an out-of-date plugin lets an attacker in, and nobody knows whose job it was to check. We explain why in why a template website is costing you customers.

A freelancer. One person who designs or codes, sometimes both. Cheaper than a studio. Choose well and it works. The question is who picks up the phone when something breaks on a Friday afternoon.

A big consultancy. The most expensive of all. A partner sells it to you and, more often than not, an intern builds it. You're paying for the name on the door.

A studio. Design, code and maintenance in the same team. Dearer than a freelancer, cheaper than a consultancy. No templates. And no juniors on rotation here. What you pay for is not being left with a half-finished website, or passed from one supplier to the next.

What pushes the price up

How many different designs it needs. Not how many pages: a homepage, a service page and a blog are three designs, even if you have twenty services.

Made from scratch or from a template. And if you want to edit the copy yourself, a content management system (CMS).

Whether it sells. An online shop means a catalogue, payments, shipping and taxes. That's a different project.

Languages, connections to other tools (CRM, bookings, ERP) and who provides the copy and photos.

What we charge

We're not the cheapest. Better you know now.

Custom website, from €4,200. No templates: we design it from scratch for your brand. Design for desktop and mobile, development, technical SEO and security. The price is fixed, in writing, before we start. And it doesn't move: if something changes, the scope changes.

Maintenance, from €55 a month. Updates, daily backups and monitoring. A website nobody updates ends up hacked.

Been granted the Kit Digital? You could save up to €3,000. We're authorised digitalisation agents.

Don't need a whole website? €50 an hour, no minimums.

Before you sign with anyone

Ask what's included, not just how much. Original design or a template? Who maintains it afterwards, and for how much? Who owns the website when it's done? The domain, the code and the logins should be yours. If they hesitate, that's your answer.

And look at their portfolio. Real websites, live, that you can open and use, not pretty screenshots. If you can, ask one of their clients how it went. Ours are here.

If you're after a €300 website, we're not the ones. And that's fine.

If you want to know what yours would cost, tell us what you need. A founder replies within 48 working hours.
